Virtual appointments - Unfortunately, not all healthcare plans cover virtual consultations under the Affordable Care Act. Please contact you insurance provider for details. This includes if you will try and receive reimbursement via a superbill.
Insurance Details
Cancelation Policy - Full reimbursement will be given if cancelled before 24 hours. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
We are currently seeing families across Augusta, Martinez, Evans, Harlem, Grovetown, Appling, Hephzibah, and North Augusta. A travel fee of $50 will be applied to lactation consultations outside of the regular service area.
We are in-network with UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, TRICARE, and Wildflower Health. Self-pay options are also welcomed and processed conveniently through our Practice Q client portal.
The Affordable Care Act requires that all new health plans cover lactation support and supplies without cost-sharing “for the duration of breastfeeding,” which means plans may not apply any co-payment, co-insurance, or deductible to these benefits. The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology has a great page with information on how to access your healthcare coverage for breastfeeding.
