Behind everything I do is a genuine love for supporting mothers and families as they grow, adjust, and find their confidence. I earned my degree in chemistry from Savannah State University and a Master of Education from the University of Georgia, but some of my greatest lessons have come from being a mother of three. I understand that feeding a baby can be beautiful, emotional, exhausting, and sometimes very different from what you imagined. My goal is to create a space where parents feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment.
My journey into maternal and family support began in 2005 as a community peer counselor. In 2017, I became the first African American International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in Athens, Georgia, and founded the Athens Black Mothers Breastfeed Support & Education Group to create a welcoming place for mothers to connect, learn, and receive support. Over the years, my work has included lactation care, postpartum doula support, maternal health research with Morehouse School of Medicine, health education, and writing books such as Mommies Magical Miracle Milk. Each experience has strengthened my belief that families deserve compassionate care, practical information, and support that respects their individual goals.
Today, I bring that experience into every family I serve. Whether you are preparing to breastfeed, struggling with latch or milk supply, pumping, bottle-feeding, returning to work, or simply wondering if things are going the way they should, you do not have to figure it out alone. I combine evidence-based lactation care with patience, education, and a listening ear so that we can find solutions that work for you, your baby, and your real life. My hope is that you leave our time together feeling more informed, more confident, and genuinely supported in your feeding journey.
